Yashar Saghai

 

Yashar Saghai is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Twente and an Associate Senior Scholar at The Millennium Project: Global Futures Studies and Research, a DC-based global think-tank. From 2013 till 2018 he worked at the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Georgetown University and graduate degrees in History of Philosophy and Medical Ethics from the University of Paris in his native city. His research focuses on the philosophy of anticipation (foresight/futures studies), political philosophy of technology (future infrastructures and technological sovereignty) and applied ethics (food ethics, public health ethics, the ethics of behavior change interventions).
