MAB18’s (Beijing) keynote speaker, Bruce Ramus, is taking part in the: IES Vancouver Webinar – Media Architecture: Past & Present with Bruce Ramus.

In this webinar, organised by Illuminating Engineering Society – Vancouver, Bruce Ramus will share insights, designs, and methodologies of media architecture applications; and consider lighting and video design, interactive and performative design, and how all of this integrates into the fabric of our public spaces.


Bruce draws insights from designing media architecture and the power of balancing depth, intimacy and scale in this emerging field. Over his thirty-year career, he has designed and directed live shows for U2, R.E.M., David Bowie, James Brown and lighting for artists on the Academy Awards, Grammys, MTV Awards and Super Bowl Halftime Shows. In 2006, Bruce moved to Melbourne and formed RAMUS. The studio presents a new urban art form, offering an integrated canvas that reflects the environment and encourages public engagement.
