Date: 21 May, 2020
Time: 19:30 – 20:30 CET
Host: Het Nieuwe Instituut⠀
The Het Nieuwe Instituut, one of our close collaborators, is inviting all of us for an alternative preview of “Who is We?” – the Netherlands’ contribution to the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of Fondazione La Biennale di Venezia – which has been postponed to the end of May 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This event will be an exciting live conversation that will explore and unpack – not only the concepts behind “Who is We?”, but also the ideas revolving around the “Values for Survival” program and the series of cahiers that resulted from it, as well as Venice’s current situation and more!
So tune in tomorrow night via the event below and be part of this conversation moderated by Saskia van Stein and speakers:
>> Huda AbiFarès (founding director Khatt Foundation, co-editor Values for Survival, Cahier 1)
>> Afaina de Jong (architect and researcher, exhibitor “Who is We?”)
>> Jane da Mosto (co-founder We are Here Venice, co-curator Exploratorium)
>> Caroline Nevejan (curator Values for Survival, University, and City of Amsterdam)
>> Debra Solomon (artist and researcher, exhibitor Who is We?)
>> Francien van Westrenen (head of Agency Het Nieuwe Instituut, curator Who is We?)
and with soundtrack by Michel Banabila (sound artist, participant Exploratorium)
