Nanna Verhoeff is Professor of Screen Cultures & Society in the Department of Media and Culture Studies at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Her research focuses on the development of concepts and methods for the analysis of performative technologies, situated arts and media, media architecture, and urban interfaces. She is initiator of the interdisciplinary research group [urban interfaces] that brings together researchers that investigate location- based media, art and performance in urban, public spaces. Together with Iris van der Tuin, Nanna has initiated the Creative Humanities Academy that brings together humanities researchers and creative practitioners for collaborations and knowledge exchange, and offering teaching for professionals in the cultural field. Nanna is member of the executive committee for the Media Architecture Biennale 20 and moderator for the Media Architecture Biennale Academy launched at MAB20.
