Sabine Zierold is Assistant Professor at the chair Presentation Methodology and Head of MediaArchitecture master degree program at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, where she also received her Ph.D. in 2005. Her dissertation was entitled Der mediale Raum der Architektur (The Medial Space of Architecture). Her fields of interdisciplinary research are located at the intersection between architecture and media and deal with virtual spaces in architecture as well as with media-based forms of architectural representation. Among her publications are the essays with topics like „History of Visualization in Order to Communicate in Space“, „Architektur als räumliches Medium“, „Das Virtuelle im Realen: der virtuelle Raum als Entgrenzung des physischen Raumes der Architektur“ or „Mediatic Stratifications“. She is teaching in the master degree program MediaArchitecture and in the bachelor and master degree program in Architecture at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The results of the studies were presented in different analogue and digital public formats of exhibitions and installations.
