MAB Live

30-minute talk show sessions live from the studio at Pakhuis de Zwijger with special guests looking back and ahead at the highlights and various themes of the MAB Program.

This session features former award winner and jury member Jason Bruges reflecting on the trends he encountered in the submissions for the MAB awards. MAB academy organizers Nanna Verhoeff and Katherine Willis will look back at the launch of the MAB Academy, a new initiative aiming to contribute to the development of media architecture as an academic and pedagogical field. This will be followed by ARIAS-program manager Jeroen Boomgaard introducing a series of three videos made for the MAB illustrating thee research projects in Amsterdam at the crossroads of media, design and urbanism. At the end of the session, a first video will be shown that addresses the topic of urban redevelopment, gentrification and social housing in Amsterdam.
